January 12 is a pretty light day in my database. I found no deaths that occurred on that date, which is not a bad thing.
Births
Hannah Darstein, daughter of Abraham Darstein and Catherine Sellers, was born January 12, 1775 in Hilltown Township, Bucks County, Pennsylvania. She is my 2nd cousin 5x removed.
Rachel Kelly was born January 12, 1807 in Bucks County, Pennsylvania. She was married to Cornelius Sellers, son of Abraham Sellers and Sophia Bodder, who is my 3rd great-granduncle. I suspect that my great-great-grandfather Cornelius Godshalk Sellers was named after this Cornelius.
Edwina Sellers, daughter of John Wengard Sellers and Mary Melissa Conkle, was born January 12, 1861 in Ohio. She is my 4th cousin 3x removed.
Keara Sara Weinstein was born January 12, 1993 in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. She is my 4th cousin once removed on my Meckler line.
Marriages
Henry Zepp and Tirzah Sellers were married on January 12, 1823. Tirzah, daughter of Abraham Sellers and Sophia Bodder, is the sister of the Cornelius Sellers mentioned above and is my 3rd great-grandaunt.
Henry Olt and Elizabeth H. Gaunt were married on January 12, 1897 in Marlton, Burlington County, New Jersey. Elizabeth, daughter of Reuben Lewallen Gaunt and Lucy Bounds, is my 3rd cousin 2x removed.
Edward James Ellis and Kathleen Homan were married on January 12, 1973 in New Jersey. Edward, son of Harold Levi Ellis and Josephine Fiori, is my 2nd cousin through my Gauntt line.
Genealogy is like a jigsaw puzzle, but you don't have the box top, so you don't know what the picture is supposed to look like. As you start putting the puzzle together, you realize some pieces are missing, and eventually you figure out that some of the pieces you started with don't actually belong to this puzzle. I'll help you discover the right pieces for your puzzle and assemble them into a picture of your family.
