April 15 has some well known historical events associated with it. It's the day Abraham Lincoln died, the day the Titanic sank, and the day U.S. income taxes are due. But Tax Day didn't fall on April 15 until 1955, which makes it more understandable why someone would choose to be married on that day in 1944.

Mary Laura Gunn was born April 15, 1873 in Pennsylvania. She was married to Samuel Ferguson Sellers, son of Samuel G. Sellers and Anna C. Ferguson, who is my 4th cousin 3x removed.
Frieda Schneiderman, daughter of Sam Schneiderman and Annie Rachel Petranovsky, was born April 15, 1908 in Manhattan, New York County, New York. She is my 1st cousin 3x removed.
Paulding Foote Sellers, Jr., son of Paulding Foote Sellers and Helen Christy Clubb, was born April 15, 1909 in Buffalo, Erie County, New York. He is my 5th cousin 3x removed.
Sadie Garber, daughter of Zelig Garber and Ida Mekler, was born April 15, 1912 in Canada, probably in Winnipeg, Manitoba. She is my 2nd cousin 2x removed via the Meklers.

Elizabeth Shearer died April 15, 1847 at the age of 35, possibly in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania. She was married to Joel Sellers, son of Tobias Sellers and Elizabeth Faber, who is my 1st cousin 4x removed.
Hananiah Selah Gaunt, son of Hananiah Gaunt and Rebecca Mulliner, died April 15, 1852 at the age of 57 in Burlington County, New Jersey. He is my 3rd-great-grandfather.
William Allen Gaunt, son of John B. Gaunt and Priscilla Dye, died April 15, 1921 at the age of 59 in Portland, Jay County, Indiana. He is my 3rd cousin 3x removed.
Elmer Ferguson Sellers, son of Samuel G. Sellers and Anna C. Ferguson, died April 15, 1956 at the age of 88 in Chester County, Pennsylvania. He is my 4th cousin 3x removed.
