The deaths for this day are (relatively) young, although there is definitely a difference between a child dying at age 5 and adults dying in their 50's.

Joseph L. Gauntt, son of Mark Lewallen Gauntt and Rhonda Ewing, was born July 8, 1881 in Delaware Township, Camden County, New Jersey.  He is my 3rd cousin 2x removed on my Gauntt line.

Herbert Edward McElwee, son of David McElwee and Mary Virginia Gaunt, was born July 8, 1908 in New Jersey, probably in Burlington County.  He is my 2nd cousin 2x removed via the Gaunts.

Phyllis Emma Godman was born July 8, 1918 in Wenona, Gloucester County, New Jersey.  She was the wife of George Edwin Gaunt, son of John Webber Gaunt and Marian Hannah Livezey, who is my 6th cousin once removed via the Gaunts.

Ruth Pollack, daughter of Isaac Pollack and Bessie Brainin, was born July 8, 1926 in Manhattan, New York County, New York.  She is my 1st cousin 2x removed via the Brainins.

Robert Francis Bowen, son of Francis Maria Bowen and Louise Elsie Gaynor, was born July 8, 1929 in Orange, Essex County, New Jersey.  He is the maternal uncle of my half-sister Laura Sellers.

Gary William Lederman, son of Victor Lederman and Edith Albert, was born July 8, 1955 in Astoria, Queens County, New York.  He is my 2nd cousin once removed on my Gorodetsky line through the Ledermans.

Laura Gabrielle Sarah Zindler was born July 8, 1998.  She is my 4th cousin once removed.

Marriages

Abner H. Gaunt, son of Hananiah Selah Gaunt and Abigail Atkinson, and Emeline Severs were married July 8, 1854 in Medford Township, Burlington County, New Jersey.  Abner is my great-great-granduncle.

David Kardish, son of Itzak Kardish and Shirley Bordelay, and Monica Weisz were married July 8, 1975 in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada.  David is my 2nd cousin once removed on my Gorodetsky line through the Kardishes.

Richard John Dunn and Jennifer Lynn Wakefield were married July 8, 1989.  Richard is my 2nd cousin.

Yale Lawrence Minuk, son of Julius Minuk and Esther Golub, and Niki Green were married July 8, 1990, probably in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada.  Yale is my 4th cousin on my Meckler line through the Golubs (which used to be Golubchik).

Ari D. Schneiderman and Katy Scanlan were married July 8, 2010.  Ari is my 3rd cousin once removed.

Deaths

Burell Swain Gaunt, son of Walter Clayton Gaunt and Lulu May Sherman, died July 8, 1908 in Portland, Jay County, Indiana at the age of 5.  He is my 5th cousin once removed via the Gaunts.

Murray Farbman died July 8, 1970 in Pennsylvania at the age of 59.  He was the husband of Etta Millstein, daughter of Nathan Millstein and Sarah Gordon, who is my 1st cousin 2x removed via the Gordons.

Esther Segal died July 8, 1991 in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada at the age of 53.  She was the wife of Lyman Ross, son of Charlie Ross and Annie Garber, who is my 3rd cousin once removed on my Meckler line through the Garbers.
