Events in My Family Tree: August 11

This is another day when all the deaths are at young ages.

Births

Blanche Catherine Gauntt, daughter of Robert Elwood Gauntt and Elsie May West, was born August 11, 1918 in New Jersey,  probably in Burlington County.  She is my 4th cousin once removed on my Gauntt line.

Lillian Gordon, daughter of David Gordon (originally Gorodetsky) and Freeda Alterman, was born August 11, 1919 in Brooklyn, Kings County, New York.  She is my 1st cousin once removed on my Gorodetsky line.

Bernice Louise Votaw, daughter of Uz Millard Votaw and Ruth E. Barnett, was also born August 11, 1919, but in Noble Township, Wabash County, Indiana.  She is my 5th cousin once removed on my Gauntt line through the Votaws.

James Albert Buchanan was born August 11, 1951.  He is the husband of Patricia Ann Lore, daughter of Clarence Newcomb Lore and Dorothy Mae Sellers, who is my half 1ist cousin via the Sellerses.

Sid Bryan Lerner was born August 11, 1955 in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada.  He is the husband of Sharon Birnboim, daughter of Meyer Harold Birnboim and May Shrom, who is my 4th cousin on my Meckler line through the Birnboims.

Marriage

Jesse B. Bettet and Hannah W. Gaunt, daughter of Benjamin Gaunt and Mary Elizabeth Sever, were married August 11, 1892 in Mount Holly, Burlington County, New Jersey.  Hannah is my half 2nd cousin 2x removed via the Gaunts.

Deaths

Mary Emma Gaunt, daughter of Uz Gaunt and Sarah Ann Whitacre, died August 11, 1863, probably in Ohio or Indiana, at the age of 3 years, 9 months.  She is my 2nd cousin 4x removed via the Gaunts.

Melvina F. Bennett died August 11, 1891 in Dunkirk, Jay County, Indiana at the age of 58.  She was the wife of Jacob Gaunt, son of Joseph Gaunt and Phoebe Emily Severn, who is also my 2nd cousin 4x removed via the Gaunts.

Donald Walsh died August 11, 1961 in North White Plains, Westchester County, New York at the age of 40.  He was the husband of Charlotte Perlman, daughter of Abraham Sam Perlman and Stella Joffe, who is my 3rd cousin once removed on my Nowicki line through the Perlmans.

Lois Elaine McStroul, daughter of Fred Lincoln McStroul and Belle Silberman, died August 11, 1993 in Ventura County, California at the age of 54.  She is the 1st cousin of my aunt Mary McStroul.
